'Double' your donations this #GivingTuesday through matching funds

#GivingTuesday, a global movement that channels the generous spirit of the holiday season to inspire action around charitable giving, is set to take place Tuesday, Nov. 28. And to help everyone give a little more this year, Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will match up to $2 million of funds raised for U.S. nonprofits through Facebook.

The CDA Foundation is participating in #GivingTuesday with an effort to raise funds for CDA Cares, which provides dental services at no charge to Californians who experience barriers to care. Donations made through the CDA Cares Facebook page on this global day of giving can be matched up to $50,000 until the $2 million match is reached.

The match begins at 5 a.m. PST on Nov. 28, and Facebook is waiving all fees for donations to nonprofits for the entire day, regardless of when matching funds run out.

The CDA Foundation can leverage donations so that every $1 donated equates to $11 in essential dental treatment that relieves pain, restores dignity and creates smiles. Your #GivingTuesday donation will help deliver even more health, hope and happiness to those in need.
