Be part of the action at the CDA Cares dental event in Solano County by viewing on-site photos from the Solano County Fairgrounds at the “Social Hub.”
CDA staff will post photos and videos from the clinic being held April 25-26 as they are collected onto the Social Hub. The site also features CDA’s live Twitter and Instagram feed. To follow all social activity on Twitter and Instagram at CDA Cares use the hashtag #cdacares.
The Social Hub also links to the “Smiles of CDA Cares” photos from CDA’s Pinterest account.
More than 2,000 patients will receive oral health care thanks to the 1,700 hundred volunteers helping to provide cleanings, fillings, extractions and oral health education at the two-day clinic.
The CDA Foundation and CDA developed CDA Cares to provide dental services and oral health education at no charge to Californians who experience barriers to care and to raise awareness with the public and policymakers about the importance of good oral health and the need for a state dental director and state oral health infrastructure to support oral health.
Since 2012, the CDA Cares volunteer dental program has provided $6 million in care to more than 8,000 patients.
Walk-in volunteers are still welcome. Dentists and dental professionals are needed for Friday, April 25 at the Solano County Fairgrounds, 900 Fairgrounds Drive, Vallejo. Go to volunteer registration at McCormack Hall.
