CDA and its subsidiaries are pleased to offer a number of e-learning opportunities for licensees and all oral health care providers seeking added knowledge in a certain subject area. Seminars
Attend a seminar in your area to earn a two-year, five percent Professional Liability Premium discount and continuing education credits. CDA produces two award-winning, full color monthly publications: the Journal of the California Dental Association, a peer-reviewed scientific journal, and the Update, a large format news magazine. Speakers Bureau

The Speakers Bureau is a program for CDA components only to utilize in developing their C.E. program needs. Speakers for the Speakers Bureau are selected by course content, availability and applicability to the educational endeavors of our components. Dental benefits education pays off for practices

12/10/2014
In March 2014, CDA piloted the Dental Benefits Workshop, a two-day program for dentists that provided the necessary tools and insight into the challenging world of dental benefit plans. In attendance were 40 dentists who were hand-selected to participate in the pilot program based on several criteria, including number of years in practice, current participation level with dental benefit plans, practice demographics, etc. A six-month post-workshop survey of the March 2014 workshop attendees showed decreased claim denials and improved patient communication, among other things.

 

CDA student delegates; strong voice for profession

Student delegates representing the six dental schools across California participated in the 2014 House of Delegates last month in San Diego. When the topic of Proposition 46 was brought up at the meeting, many of the student delegates in attendance took pride in the fact that they played a part in the No on Prop. 46 campaign.

C.E. credits must be obtained by California licensees by a Dental Board approved provider. Please refer to the Dental Board’s website for a listing of approved providers that offer online C.E. courses.
