Continuing Education
Protocol for CD's

Did you know that you can obtain up to 50% of the California Board of Dental Examiners continuing education requirements through correspondence courses? The course content must meet the board’s requirements (usually clinical as opposed to practice management) and be sponsored by a registered provider of continuing education. Are you also aware that if you have purchased video/audio CD/tapes from one of the California Dental Association’s scientific sessions, you can petition for credit using the following procedures:

Upon receipt of your materials, CDA will process your request based on the following:

The number of units you receive is based on the course content and the number of hours recorded (the general rule is one unit per hour of course material). A Certificate of Attendance will be mailed for your records. Certificates from all providers of continuing education should be kept in your records for a minimum of four years.
