Task Forces and Workgroups
A task force is formed by the president or board to complete a specific project that is outside the scope of existing committees/councils/groups. Members are typically appointed for 1-year terms. The task force reports back to the entity that appointed them.
A workgroup is formed by staff or in collaboration with a volunteer entity to provide assistance on a specific project or subject (usually a new issue requiring specific expertise or significant input) that is within the scope of existing committees/councils/groups. The workgroup reports back to the entity that convened them.
