Product Evaluation Committee
Mission Statement
The goal of the committee is to provide a meaningful membership benefit through its selection of insurance plan offerings an assurance that superior level of serve will be provided to CDA plan participants through TDIC Insurance Solutions.
Primary Duties
1. Through regular evaluation of all plans and vendors, the committee will ensure that programs offered by TDIC Insurance Solutions have value and are competitive in terms of product design, pricing, and service.
2. Provide recommendations for plan development, plan redesign, or plan elimination.
3. Based on comparative analysis of plan features and cost, the committee will maintain an awareness of the future direction of the markets in which the sponsored programs compete and select programs which merit CDA sponsorship.
4. Identify underserved markets then find and offer insurance products to address the needs of these groups.
Time Requirements
Committee - 4 all-day meetings per year. Recommend that committee members also stay and attend the TDIC/TDIC Insurance Solutions Board meeting the following day.
Qualifications/Special Skills and Knowledge
1. Interest in basic background in insurance.
2. Possess good business acumen.
3. Diversified business experiences a plus.
Terms of Office
The members of the Product Evaluation Committee shall be elected for a term of one year and maximum of six years.
