Leadership Development Committee
Primary Duties
The Leadership Development Committee (LDC) has two major responsibilities: recruiting members to serve in CDA volunteer leadership positions and educating CDA members to help them develop leadership skills that will help them in their professional, personal and volunteer endeavors.
Each member of the committee will serve on both the recruitment and education sides of LDC.
Qualifications, Special Skills and Knowledge
Composition
The committee is composed of eight at-large members, one of whom must be a dentist within his or her first 10 years of practice, and two trustee members.
Term
Members serve two-year terms with a maximum of three terms.
Time Requirements
- Three in-person, general committee meetings a year
- General committee conference calls as required
- Subcommittee meetings and conference calls as required
- Leadership Education Conference or a Regional Leadership Training
- Component membership meetings (as able or assigned)
