The CDA House of Delegates last month took action on several resolutions related to social media marketing and fee splitting in the dental practice. At its meeting in Newport Beach, the House voted in favor of modifying the CDA Code of Ethics to include an advisory opinion on split fees in advertising and marketing services. Read more >>

 

Delta Dental makes major contribution to CDA Cares

Delta Dental of California has donated $25,000 toward the Foundation’s CDA Cares clinics. Delta Dental of California, the state’s largest dental health plan, made the donation in an effort to help people who have been affected by California’s budget cuts, specifically to the dental safety net. ADA updates dental radiograph recommendations

Legislation defining California’s Essential Health Benefits, which federal health care reform requires to include pediatric oral health benefits, has been signed by Gov. Jerry Brown. SB 951 by Sen. Ed Hernandez (D-Los Angeles) and AB 1453 by Assemblyman Bill Monning (D-Santa Cruz), chairs of the Senate and Assembly Health Committees respectively, define the health, vision and pediatric dental benefits that will be offered through California’s Health Benefit Exchange as part of its implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
