Important Reminders for the Spring Scientific Session

The 2008 Spring Scientific Session is just a few days away. To help make this a successful session, we have compiled a few last-minute updates and reminders for you.

  • If you registered in advance and received your materials by mail, you do not need to stop in the registration area. You are free to go directly to your destination. If you plan to register onsite, registration hours are:
    • Thursday                         8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    • Friday and Saturday        7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    • Sunday                            8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Complimentary bags, sponsored by Biolase, and lanyards, sponsored by Discus Dental, will be available in the lobby area.

  • If you are driving to the Anaheim Convention Center, traffic is anticipated to be heaviest on Friday morning.  To minimize any inconvenience, early arrival is strongly recommended. Peak traffic and parking time is projected to be between 8 – 11 a.m.  On Friday, additional offsite parking is available at The Grove, located on the South side of Katella just East of State Collage Blvd. and West of the 57 freeway.  CDA will provide shuttle service from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.  Offsite parking is not available on Saturday or Sunday.  Please watch the traffic control signs for day of parking information. Early arrival is also recommended for Saturday. 

    If you purchased prepaid parking tickets remember the following conditions apply:
    • Arrive by 8 a.m. – prepaid parking spaces will not be honored after that time.
    • Passes are only valid at the Anaheim Convention Center. They can’t be used at off-site parking or Disney lots.
    • Original parking passes must be used and are nonrefundable. Refunds can’t be given for lost or forgotten passes.
    • Passes must be surrendered upon entry to the lot.
  • Be sure to visit the C.E. Pavilion in the Anaheim Convention Center to confirm your continuing education classes. Usually, the lines move quickly but if you prefer, you can go online at cda.org and confirm your continuing education classes up to 45 days following the convention. A certificate of attendance will be available at cda.org four weeks following verification at the C.E. pavilion. Be sure to retain your course confirmation codes until you receive your certificate. The C.E. process is sponsored by Colgate.
  • The Exhibit Hall hours are:
    • Friday                    9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.      
    • Saturday                9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.      
    • Sunday                  9:30 a.m.– 2 p.m.
