Employer Guide to Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)

Effective April 1, The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires all employers with fewer than 500 employees to provide employees with a qualifying need paid sick leave or expanded FMLA leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. This guide will assist employers with the requirements of managing a leave requests, required documentation and resources for filing for IRS reimbursements for qualifying wages those paid to an employee who takes leave under the Act. These provisions will apply from the effective date through December 31, 2020.
