The closure order from July 13 does not impact dental practices.
The fight against Big Tobacco and its deceptive tactics and targeting practices continues with CDA joining a large coalition of health care, youth and community organizations to support legislation that would prohibit the sale of flavored tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, in California.
CDA is offering online courses and live webinars to help dentists and their teams obtain required C.E. credits. The increase in course offerings follows the change in plans for CDA’s biannual education convention CDA Presents, which was scheduled to take place in May in Anaheim but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the webinar topics were previously scheduled for CDA Presents.
A coalition composed of California dental school deans, CDA delegates and CDA dental student delegates submitted a letter on May 1 to the Dental Board of California requesting that graduating students with a passing score on a manikin-based WREB or ADEX exam be immediately permitted to apply for licensure in California.
