CDA is providing additional clarification based on the ADA’s April 4 communication regarding the eligibility of dentists to apply for both an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and a Paycheck Protection Program loan (PPP).
CDA has launched a series of free webinars to guide dentists through some of the most pressing COVID-19 issues.
The planned fee reductions affect approximately 2200 endodontists, oral surgeons and periodontists in the Delta Dental Premier network.
The Emergency Paid Sick Leave and Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion acts took effect April 1 with clarification on exemptions to the requirements to provide employees with leave for COVID-19-related reasons. Exemptions were clarified for small businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
California dentists with license renewals between the months of March and June have been granted an extension until Sept. 30, 2020.
Under a new executive order, dentists are considered essential health care providers and are encouraged to sign up to join the California Health Corps, a newly launched statewide effort to prepare the health care delivery system to respond to a potential surge in COVID-19 patients by opening additional health care sites. Registered dental hygienists and dental assistants can also register to join the effort. Recruits will be financially compensated and provided malpractice insurance coverage for the care they provide.
