Beyond the Science: Patient emotions in dentistry (online reader)

It is estimated that 75 percent of U.S. adults experience some degree of fear, anxiety or worry over dental care. Whether mild or severe, these emotions may not be easily identifiable to dental practitioners. Misunderstandings can have serious consequences to patient health, and can lead to legal issues for dental practices down the road. In this seminar, you will learn how to put patients at ease and keep your practice free from risk.

After completing this course, you will understand how to:

  • Build trust in the doctor-patient relationship to encourage treatment compliance.
  • Create office protocols to instill confidence in you and your staff members.
  • Recognize when and how to dismiss patients without placing them at risk.
